about me

That’s me & my horse, Arisa. She challenges me to slow down, listen deeply, & show up as I am—not just perform.

That hasn’t always come easily. As a cisgender gay man, I grew up in a world that prized “right & wrong” over curiosity, & sameness over authenticity. I learned to shrink, perform, & hide what didn’t fit. Unlearning that has been & continues to be a slow, meaningful process—shaped by my own ongoing experience in therapy, the steady teachings from my time with horses, & interpersonal relationships that have given me space to be authentic with myself & others.

I work best with thoughtful, high-functioning professionals who want more clarity & connection in their relationships—whether at home, at work, or within themselves.

You might notice familiar frustrations: conversations that start easily but quickly spiral into misunderstandings, moments where you shut down or get defensive even though you don’t want to.

The same patterns keep showing up—misunderstandings, disconnection, tension beneath the surface—& you’re curious about what drives it all.

You want to understand your role in these dynamics, not just react to them. That’s where my collaborative, grounded, & depth-oriented approach can help.

My therapeutic style is flexible & integrative, shaped by the specific needs & experiences of each client. I blend body & nervous system awareness, attachment work, trauma-informed care, narrative therapy, & other modalities to help you make sense of your internal & relational worlds.

This isn’t about fixing. It’s about reflecting, relating, & reimagining—with patience, presence, & curiosity.

Healing, to me, is like moss: slow, steady, & deeply rooted.

my ideal clients + my approach

i use a mix of:

person-centered & collaborative therapy

A humanistic approach that trusts people are naturally driven toward growth when they feel seen, heard, & not judged.

narrative therapy & queer theory

Narrative therapy sees our problems as shaped by stories & culture—not just within us. Queer theory challenges social norms around identity, power, & relationships.

parts work (jungian-inspired)

Based on the idea that we all have different “parts” inside us—like protectors, inner critics, or exiled pieces—that form from past experiences & want to be understood.

emdr & polyvagal tools

EMDR is a trauma treatment that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories. Polyvagal theory explains how our nervous system reacts to safety, danger, or disconnection.

gottman method & emotionally focused therapy (eft)

Gottman Method uses research & more of an intellectual approach to understand what makes relationships thrive or struggle. EFT focuses on how emotional bonds & attachment shape connection & conflict.
